When life gives you lemons...

My issues with acne isn't exactly a news, in fact I've been struggling with it ever since I hit puberty, exactly half of my lifetime ago~ =_= I had tried almost everything I could think of, from traditional methods, dermatologist medication, expensive skin care, not so expensive skincare, diet, Vitamin C injections, charcoal and the list goes on...

That's why I can get pretty sensitive sometimes when people point out my skin imperfections, but today I'm pretty much immune to all the nasty words, it doesn't hurt that much as it used to be, I'm one tough cookie now, heee~

Back to the topic, I don't really obsess over acne that much anymore, I try to control my food intake, pay more attention to my health and more focus on making myself happy... And I guess it kinds of work (I think, hehe =P) I slowly swap all the expensive over the counter skincare with a more natural solution, which I get from google mostly, thank god for technology ^^ And among the one that work wonders for me is the lemon-aid (very Benefit, I know, wink2)

Okay, the pic above here are the stuff you need for this beauty project; fresh lemons + empty bottle for storage (I'm using my Benefit Woman Seeking Toner used bottle ♥) + facial cottons + filtered water (not in the picture) + knife and pitcher...

Firstly, you have to roll the lemons on a clean surface for a few times to get juice flowing nicely, and then cut the lemons in half. Squeeze out the juices from the lemons as much as you can and get rid of everything else but the juice... Add a little filtered water to your juice and let it cool in your fridge before you bottled it up =)

2 lemons are good enough for my one week usage, I'm afraid the juice will be rotten after one week because I don't refrigerated it... To use it, just apply generously with you facial cotton at the scars and acne area. Make sure you clean your face first before you do so and let it soak in and dry out. Super easy, don't you think?

I had used it for about one month now and I love the brightening effect it gave to my acne scars, I also noticed that my acne doesn't pop out as frequent as it used to... It may hurt a little since lemon is acidic, but no pain, no gain, right? And the best thing about it, it's cheap, easy and natural so you don't have to worry about side effects, sweet isn't it? And if it doesn't work out for you, you can always make lemonade, wink2

Every good stuff got a price, and yes I wonder how they can sleep at night (coz it can keep me up all night sometimes to figure out ways to have it =P) This is my interpretation of Jessie J's - Price Tag lyrics which I knew most of us can relate to, wink2 Benefit Cosmetic had their own prestige and price tag of course, with their whimsical packaging and brilliant potions that always speak to me and close to my heart @_@

Benefit definitely had a magnetic power to lure me to the dark side (I mean my broke side =D) My recent visit to the Benefit Cosmetic Parkson KLCC had proven very2 worthwhile because not only I discovered the new attraction that will soon coming to our shore, but get this girls, they're reducing all their products price in Malaysia this year, yeay!!!! I can finally save more money and buy more stuff, double yeay!!! @_@ You can expect from RM5-RM20 (or more...) less than original price for every items, weeeeee~

The one that got away...

It would be unfair to say goodbye to 2011 without at least glancing back to all the beautiful memories it represent. My oh my, what a great year 2011 turn out to be and I'm nothing but thankful for all the good fortune that fall upon me, wink2 Okay, now It's time to do the recap for the 10 most memorable stuff that took place in yours truly un-eventful life last year, hihi =P

1) A Tiger by the Tail ^^

After intense grueling, pleading, and spending, I managed to collect all the 60 stamps needed in order to obtain this cute little Tigger (one of the characters in Winnie The Pooh), you have no idea the hell I've been going through to get this little fella, I for one have no wishes whatsoever to repeat this whole ordeal all over again but the wonderful feeling after possessing this baby is certainly classified as "I'm over the moon" kind of feeling, it's beyond awesome!!! This actually a surprise birthday gift to my significant other who have a weird fond-ness for anything Tiger related stuff except Tiger Beer of course, hehe x)

2) Life is a Beach n_n

This unique picture of our family vacation at Pulau Pehentian made it into the New Straits Times travel column in the middle of March 2011, cool isn't it? I never really thought our funny pose will be chosen as the winner of their weekly travel giveaway but luck certainly shining bright for me in 2011 =) The prize is a weekend getaway at Corus Paradise, Port Dickson that I used to celebrate my sister birthday but it's not the prize that really intrigued me at that time actually... The once in a lifetime opportunity to imprint our family sweetest time in view of thousands others and our daily newspaper is definitely hard to pass on, I still remember the moment and the surprise shriek coming from my mother when she read the newspaper that day, hee~

3) Two is Better than One @_@

Early April last year, I was fortunately given a rare chance to meet up, close and personal with the Annie & Maggie Ford Danielson, the daughters and nieces of my favorite makeup brand, Benefit Cosmetic founders, Jean and Jane Ford =) The moment was so surreal, and I had to pinch myself a few times to believe it!!! They're both my beauty icons and I really look up to their sheer geniuses in creating a very fabulous line of makeup, I'm such a big fans of the brand and meeting both of them definitely deserve a big highlight in my book!!! They both are very warm, friendly and approachable in person and I can't get my eyes off their effortless beauty and height, I felt very much like a midget next to them, haha =D

4) Foot-loose ^_~

As written in my previous post, I bought myself a rather unusual birthday gift last year to compensate for my lack of "music & me time" in the last couple of years, hihi =P I had the best-est musical experience in my whole lifetime in this one night performance from my favorite band since forever, Switchfoot!!! I don't mind to relive the moment again and again for even twice the price, coming from someone who barely make ends meet, it certainly speaks volume of their performance aura, wink2

5) It's my birthday!!! ^_^

My 2011 birthday celebration is quite different last year I must say since I'm celebrating it with my love one for the very first time =) We're hundreds miles apart so seeing each other frequently is definitely not an option and a luxury that we can't afford T-T But he did came all the way even after a hectic day to spend my birthday with me ^^ He even surprised me with my favorite flower, white lily and an instrument I've been eye-ing for quite sometime, ukelele... I love both gift so so so very much!!! =)

6) Tie the knot =)

One of the main highlights of my 2011 life is none other than my best friend forever (it's 14 years to be exact, hee~) Deya engage to be married day with her now fiancee, Alfian... Knowing her for almost half my life, I'm very2 happy that she finally met someone who treat her right and someone that I highly approve, hehe =P She deserve a guy who love her unconditionally and I knew that she did get it right this time around... They both are perfect for each other, I couldn't think of better person who could complete her the way he did!!! I'm wishing you guys the very best, be nice to each other okay,@_@

7) Who's that girl? n_n

Another milestone that I reach last year was I finally succeed in my vain attempt to wear contact lenses, fake lashes and blue-ey eyeshadows, hehe =P I'm too afraid to wear lenses before and too lazy to master the art of wearing falsies, LOL After I figured out the way and experimenting with lots of neon colors, I can proudly say that blue is no longer included in my "NAY" eyeshadow shades list, it certainly took me quite a long time to get it right but I'm so happy nevertheless with the results, I only have two more colors challenge to conquer, yellow and red which I'm in no rush to pursue yet ^_~

8) Lucky Strike @_@

2011 really2 was my luckiest year ever, I won not only 1,2 but 3 big concerts tickets from big names like Micheal Buble, Maroon 5 and 30 Seconds to Mars!!! Life is good, hee~ ^^ I won a lot of other stuff too from perfumes, skincare, book, handbag and even a hotel stay, I felt very2 lucky and surprised actually because I have no idea that I'll be on my winning streak for the rest of the year... Now,I witness it first hand that you do gain a lot more when you give more, may 2012 bring me more luck and excitement, wink2

9) Aye Aye Captain x)

During the Merdeka's month last year, Fly FM had came up with their own version of Captain America named Captain Malaysia (no surprise there obviously, LOL) which planned to help out 54 different Malaysians to overcome their difficulties in everyday life... I'm just trying my luck there and submit my application, little that I know I'm among the lucky 54 who had been granted a visit not only by Captain Malaysia but all the Fly FM's Rock Pagi Crews, yeay!!! I will not unveil what I had been asking for from them because It's quite embarrassing actually to even mention it here but it really2 made my day (and week too to be honest =P), to have all of them paid me a visit, hehe X) The only regret I have was not having my digicam with me at that time to capture the moment~ =(

10) The One That Got Away =P

The last but not least of my favorite highlights of 2011 was I finally brave enough to took the challenge of uploading my very own Youtube video, hehe =P I'm not even close to perfect but I'm very2 proud of myself for going through the motion and producing my very first Youtube cover... I now have a brand new respect for all the Youtubers because it's not as easy as it look, my singing and plucking were all over the place and I couldn't trust myself to speak even a little in this video because I'm afraid my voice will betray me, hahaha =D I do get a lot of positive reviews from my friends, and I'm looking forward to produce more covers in the future ^^

I can spend hours just talking about my fav band in this world, Switchfoot and still I can't justified their musical influences in me in just one mere day. Big words, I know but Switchfoot, despite it's roots is really2 one of the best-est band I could ever think of (I'm bias but lots of peeps out there can vouch for their work you know, lol) I'm so inspired to play guitar because of them and the first song that I learn to play is "You" from Switchfoot itself =P

I missed their first show in KL few years ago and I decided back then, nothing can stop me from going to their concert in Malaysia again, I even planned to go to their Singapore show if they didn't drop by at KL, thank god I didn't have to do that, they adjusted their tour dates at the very last minutes and make an appearance at Kompleks Mutiara, Sentul on 1st May =)

I never heard of Kompleks Mutiara before but my love for Jon Foreman and his band drove me to the hunted place with my sis... Because of the un-popular choice of location, it felt very much like an underground gig that only a few chosen one selected to attend, which added the mystery to the concert itself, wink2

We waited quite a while before the band show up, thanks to the technical problems from the organizer, haih =_= Like usual, the band charmed me from the very start and continue to do so till the end of the show @_@ I must said, I enjoy myself way too much and loving their non stop energetic performance ^^ This is by far the best birthday gift I ever got for myself and the best concert I had the honor to be a part of!!!

Anyway, I dislike the opening act, Busco which sound very much like Bunkface, and they sang like forever and bored me to death, huhu~ I think all 1,000 fans that present that day must felt the same way too because as soon as the light dimmed and the spotlight focus on the band name on stage, everyone were shrieking like crazy!!! After 7 studio albums and 15 years in the business, Switchfoot definitely know how to build up their audience anticipation and suspense...

They started the night with The Sound from their latest album Hello Hurricane, before singing their hits like Stars and a very emotional version of Your Love Is A song (one of my personal fav) The show goes on with Awakening, which Jon sang with his brother who also in the band, Tim Foreman... The crowd getting crazier and crazier as they keep up the momentum with Needle And Haystack Life before the light were dimmed again...

This time around, they coming back again with their all time hits, Dare You To Move taken from A Walk To Remember OST, which without a doubt was the crowd's favorite... This song brought them an overnight fame and a huge mainstream break to the band in the industry =)

Switchfoot not only sing with their heart, their passion for music clearly illustrated with the beautiful melody and lyrics, eventhough their words were debated for being preaching and gospel-ly at times, I guess different people decipher and interpret it differently, so I'm cool with that ^_^ I'm on board with the music which keep on evolving over the years but their humble personality still remain very much the same...

Being the hyper performer that he always identified with, Jon jumped to beat, even go as fas as climb the stage with 16 hits after hits from their current and previous albums and urged us to sing along and be in the moment with him and the music...

I'm quite close to the stage and as you can see from the pictures, Jon Foreman is cuter and hotter than I can ever imagine, he get us on fire not only with his guitars but harmonika as well and keep us rockin' throught out the night =) he's one heck of energizer bunny I must say, hihi =P I had nothing but respect for a guy who can play guitar beautifully complete with a sexy voice, I guess I'm still a big sucker for cute guys who musically proficient, wink2

Unfortunately, all good thing must come to the end, the almost 2 hour musical journey seem to goes by way too fast and I can't help but wanting the night to never stop =( Malaysia, being the last leg for their South East Asian tour clearly not the last thing on their mind...

Before leaving the stage, the band not only leave it with style but words that warm up all their Malaysian's fans, hehe =P Taken from Jon Foreman's twitter; "I think we saved the best for last. Malaysia, tonight will be one we will never forget!" Yes, we won't forget you for sure and we'll hold to your promise to come back again next year, wink2

I think the money I spend on cosmetic had escalated dangerously during every Christmas season, which always made me felt bad for a little while, but like an addictive drug, I can't help but falling into the loop over and over again... I might regret some of it later but right now, this are my babies, my happy pills and my guilty pleasure @_@

You know how it feels when you're a kid and walk into a candy shop? It's exactly the same with me, I get the similar excitement everytime I step my foot in my favorite cosmetic store, it's a very2 fantastic feeling to try every single stuff that I fancy and use it to my heart content... Anyway, I've stray away from the thing I wanna blog about which is my 2011 Christmas haul, behold the beauty peeps, wink2

Estee Lauder Blockbuster Set - RM250

My verdict : IT'S A SPLURGE!!!

Okay, I must be honest, I'm not impress at all with any Estee Lauder Christmas Set this year, I think it's the same thing all over again but with different packaging and slightly different color selection.

The quality for this set is so-so only especially the eyeshadow set, the blushers are awesome though... Since my mum adore this so much, me and my sis decided to bought this set for her birthday few weeks ago and I'm very happy to say that she still very much in love with it to date n_n

Sephora Makeup Studio Blockbuster - RM179

My verdict : IT'S A STEAL!!!

This is a pretty good investment in my part I think, the shades are very2 nice and with 96 eyeshadows, I got plenty to play with, yeay!!! I just don't get it why there are so many lip glosses in this set, who'll actually wear some of the colors in the real world? =_=

This definitely a great tool for makeup artist, lots of colors to experiment with and it comes with eyeliners and mascara too, the shades are quite intense and pigmented, with the price, it's certainly a bargain I can't refuse, hehe =P

Benefit Cosmetic Website Haul - USD125 (approximately RM400)

My verdict : IT'S A STEAL!!!

As much as I love Benefit Cosmetic, I think it's outrageously priced here in Malaysia, and they didn't valued their regular customer such as myself that much, so I had to resort to another sources, which more reasonably price and gave me freebies without even asking...

Thank god for Benefit Cosmetic Website that provides lots of great deal from time to time for their customer =) My total purchase which will cost me twice the amount here, entitle me to free shipping and free Benefit Thrrob face powder, definitely a very huge steal in my book!!! I'll never turn back to retail shopping again, this I can definitely promise you ^_^

Lush Christmas Candy Box Set - $67.50 (approximately RM170)

My verdict : IT'S A SPLURGE!!!

I have a mixed feeling about it, especially since I knew that Lush Singapore were giving 35% discount for all their Christmas Gift set on the boxing day =( Anyway, I have Hanna to thank for this gift set, she bought it for me during her Singapore trip last week, thanks babe @_@

Lush goodies are so delicious and to die for, it may be a bit expensive compare to any other bath products but it's definitely a nice treat for yourself and a great way to lift up your mood after having a bad day n_n There are 6 products in this set; 2 soaps, 1 shower gel, 1 lip tint, 1 bubble bar & 1 bath ballistic... and every single of them smells so divine, and it make me wishing for a bathtub more than ever now, T-T

My verdict : IT'S A SPLURGE!!!

This is without a doubt is definitely a splurge, which I won't buy unless I'm very2 in lust with it, hihi =P Fortunately enough for me, this is a gift from my dear "Santa", who really2 know how to make me a very2 happy kid, wink2 I love the selection of shades for this particular palette, purple + pink + gold, it's refreshing and the packaging too, it's stunning and breathtaking, this collection definitely mesmerize me the most among other Christmas collection this year!!!

That's why I save the best for last, wink2 The brush set is so awesome and work wonderfully with the eyeshadows, I'm in love~ @_@ If I don't count the brush case, I guess this set is perfect for me and it's a very2 worthy buy if you're looking for a great stuff with a good quality =)

Christmas definitely came early this year, very2 early in fact, I had seen a major cosmetic label launching their Christmas set as early as October to grab all the market share before other brands counter attack, very2 smart marketing indeed...

Christmas definitely the time all makeup lovers eagerly wait every single year n_n The wide arrays of gorgeous colors and designs definitely made us glee with excitement... And the arrival of Sephora in Malaysia early this year didn't help much either... I feel like the hole in my pocket is getting bigger and bigger, hehe =P

I did bought a few stuff already, which I'll reveal soon, wink2 I had no idea how much I spend until I re-calculated the total amount just now, faint~ =_= There are definitely lots of makeup palette that caught my attention this season, knowing my weakness for beautiful eye colors, I don't know how I can mustered all my willpower to resist the gorgeous eye candies... Let's take a sneak peak on my wish list, shall we?=)

1) Bobbi Brown Cool Party Eye palette (RM179)

It's the perfect combination for my favorite smoky eye looks, I do have similar palette actually, Benefit Smokin' Eyes which doing a pretty good job so far, but the compact and more purse friendly size palette from Bobbi Brown certainly has it's own appeal, but the price it's not that friendly obviously, sigh~

2) Too Faced In Your Dreams palette (RM135)

This is one heck of a gorgeous palette I must say, it came in a very unique fairytale books design, with 3 different looks that we can choose from, complete with blusher and lip gloss, it's pretty and the colors are quite pigmented, very2 worthy buy except for the size of course, it might be slim, but too big to fit in your handbag but perfect as a gift, I'm thinking hard now, mmmm~(",)

3) Laura Mercier Luxe Eyes & Color Portfolio palette (RM375)

Okay, this duo are pretty expensive for me, and I haven't check it out at their cosmetic counter yet, so I didn't know how to judge the quality... But the Color Portfolio (right) intrigued me more, since it came with blushes and liners... The brushes provided is a nice touch by the way... If they sell it a lot cheaper, I wouldn't want to miss this collection for sure, but the choice of colors here are pretty dull to me, it may works well with every skin color but doesn't make me excited to experiment with it, should I say goodbye then??? =_=

4) Hello Kitty Noir Collection (RM159)

I purposely tried this palette out of curiosity since the reviews online wasn't really speaking high of it and I'm surprised actually that it's not that bad... It's a must have for Hello Kitty die hard but price wise, I will go for Sephora Blockbuster palette anyday since it came with more colors to play with and more professional look case... Yes, the 25 eyeshadows and 10 glosses is not enough for me, wink2 The brushes provided here is so-so quality only, unless you're a fan, you might want to reconsider this one, =(

5) Kat Von D - Tattoo Chronicles Candelabra palette (RM159)

I tried this palette the other day at Sephora, my oh my, I'm very2 impressed, the 16 shades are very nice and pigmented... I believe as a tattoo artist, Kat knew what she's doing more than anyone, and the palette design and colors definitely tell it all... I can't help but loving it, and the coolest thing, it came with a mascara, an extra eyeliner will be nice too, hehe =P What do you guys think? ^^

I can't help but drawn to the Classic Chic look which I think reflects my preferred style and makeup tendency, the soft natural earth hues definitely compliment my skin the most with a little twist, a hot red lips which I can't never bring myself into wearing it before, hee~

My heart sank everytime I heard about babies being dumped or thrown away like a piece of garbage, when there are thousand others who try desperately and unsuccessfully to have their own child... We read about it almost on daily basis and still, no drastic measure taken to stop this inhuman act. To make it worst, people almost don't talk about the root cause of this matter anymore, which is obviously, the lack of knowledge...

Most of us frown upon the importance of teaching sex education at school to children and teenagers, but if we didn't play our part and expose them to the responsibility and the possibility behind the act, the problems will never solve... We need to equip them with the right information to prevent the unwanted pregnancies which can leads to abortion and baby abandonment...

To address this issue, Durex Malaysia organized a sexual and reproductive health college programme to create awareness among youngsters about sexual health and contraceptive options that leads them to make informed decisions. Theme "One Voice, Prevention is Key", the students will be given access to information on sexual and reproductive health through 2 platforms; a Facebook design contest application and the on-ground college roadshows.

The design contest invites the students to develop their own art and slogans to a poster or postcard containing their views on the unwanted pregnancies. The participants are required to submit their creative designs in a format of a picture and upload it at Durex Malaysia facebook page; the winning designs in each category with the most number of votes will walk away with Ipad2 and Durex Malaysia will also giving out 5 Ipod Touch as a consolation prize for each category as well.

The college roadshows were held at 5 different college campuses throughout November; namely Taylor Lakeside Campus, UITM Shah Alam, Raffles College, INTI International University and also IACT College.

During the roadshows, there are a lot of activities took place to help the students gain a better access to the information regarding their sexual reproduction dilemma, with info panels about HIV, unwanted pregnancies and not to forget, the baby dumping issues.

Premium items such as playing cards, notepad and coasters were also exclusively given for those who like Durex Malaysia facebook page. Besides that, the guys were encouraged to fill up the survey during the roadshows and were provided with various information to improve their knowledge on the subjects.

We might still have a long way to go but like baby steps, this programme certainly delivered its target in creating a better platform for "taboo" subjects for youngsters to turn into. Hopefully, we won't hear about babies abandonment in the future anymore. Prevention as we all knew, definitely is the key =)

I can't speak for everyone else but I knew, deep in every specky girls hard wired brain, there must be a little nagging voice inside that whispered every now and then, how fantastic their life might be without wearing spectacles... My not so secret "secret"...

I'm quite good at keeping secrets, but there are few secrets that I'm more than happy to share, ^_~ Living with 4 other sisters definitely come in handy especially when we're in dire need for the right tips and tricks, not to mention all those outfit and shoes that we can share together =) Thank god, we all have different taste in men, hehe =P

One of the secrets that I confided with all my sisters was ironically related to unwanted hair, not men or boys as most people do... I warned them to stay away from razor blade as far as possible, it's very bad for our skin, I experienced it before and yes, you still can see the evidence of it today, arghhh~ =_=

Anyway, I decided to dropby at the Veet's My Real Secret roadshow few weeks ago to spend a little quality time together with one of my sis, Atiqah since we both share not only shoe size but also mutual hatred for unwanted hair... I can't make it to the roadshow at my alma mater so I choose the most convenient location for me instead at UPM, Serdang.

We were given a very thorough explanation about the best way to treat all those hair, such as the best time to remove the hair is after a warm bath, which open up the pores and soften the hairs... Warm bath work wonders because it also makes you feel more relax and at ease with your body and minimize any potential pain (for those who opted for wax strips especially and have low pain tolerance)

I'm having a hard time to believe that I'm turning 27 this year, not because I'm afraid of getting older, but this year time flies so very fast, I can't keep up most of the time, and I barely had time to blog nowadays =( My birthday had passed almost 4 months ago, and I only managed to blog about it now, I hope I won't kill the suspense though, hehehe =P

I received lots of pressies this year, which surprised me a lot cause I didn't see most of it coming and I did indulge myself with something extra-special too for my 27th birthday, which you guys can read it in my upcoming post, wink2

Cameron Diaz fabulous legs ^^

I love a lot of things, I love writing, reading, designing, composing and so much more... Another thing that I can't help but loving is my legs, it may not be as long as Cameron Diaz or as beautiful as Gisele Bundchen, but I still think it's kind of nice (at least to my eyes, wink2) especially when I accessorize it with my favorite pair of heels ^_^

Most of us tend to take our legs for granted, we didn't nourish it, take a good care of it, like any other parts of our body, which kind of sad actually... Legs not only function as an equipment to get us from one point to another, but it also support the weight of our upper body and serves to make us look good in jeans too, heehee =P

I walk and run a lot, so I really2 have to pay extra attention to my legs, I scrub and moisturize 3 times a week, apply foot mask and get rid of the calluses when I'm in the mood and even treat myself to pedicure spa and reflexology every now and then but I still can't run from one of women biggest concern, the nasty unwanted hair!!! =(

Clinique has always been a household name since forever in my book... I remember working part time during weekend to get their 3 Steps range, which my bff will gladly vouch for, and definitely cost a fortune for students like me at that time x_x Their reputation and signature 3 steps is recognize worldwide and people has been using their formula for years, so being a part of Clinique event is like reminiscence of the past for me, hee~

Well, I decided to join the Clinique Star Tour this year after reading Fatin rave about the last year gig, I did felt very2 old though, the event were swarmed by teenage girls but seeing their excitement and interest in makeup is another thing, I felt dejavu all over again, remembering my introduction to makeup 10 years ago, wink2

Back to the Clinique Star Tour, I choose Pavilion, due to it's convenience location for me, and I'm so glad I didn't arrived late coz the crowd were getting bigger and bigger, and I arrived just in time before the lunch rush, the weather doesn't look that good though, I secretly wish the rain won't stop these girls enthusiasm...

Firstly, upon sign in, we were given a form to complete our personal details and after that we were ushered to the magic truck for our skin consultation from the Clinique team. They were very2 helpful and hands on, teaching me the right way to apply skincare and taking their time in explaining every single curiosity that I had =)

I was then suggested to make a slight change to my current 3 steps regime, I'm currently using the type 3 set btw, but due to my sudden acne volcanic eruption (which I'm happily put the blame on choc again =P), the Clinique expert asked me to consider switching to Anti Blemish range or at least use the moisturizer and the spot treatment to keep the nasty acne at bay =)

After that, we were lead to the hair styling section, and professionals from Miko Galere, began doing their magic and change all the participants from girl next door hair to the next top model hairdo, wink2 Since I'm wearing scarf, I decided to bypass the hair styling session but I did enjoying myself a bit too much looking at all the creative energy from the hair expert, they effortlessly create a new person with every stroke and touch, this is definitely why I love makeover!!! @_@

Next, we were taken to the makeup booth, and the Clinique makeup team taking over the makeover process and complete the transformation. Among the stuff that was applied to me are clinique supermoisture foundation, airbrush concealer, blended face powder, colour surge eye shadow in cherry blossom, quickliner in dark chocolate, lash power volumising mascara in black onyx, fresh bloom all over color in peony and also vitamin c lip smoothie antioxidant lip color in mangothan. I'm seriously a control freak, I had to restrain myself from doing the makeup myself, hahaha =D

And soon after the makeover, we were given the chances to fulfill our secret dream of being a supermodel from the professional photographer!!! My pics didn't turn up very well though, I'm having difficulties to strike poses when I was dictate by someone else, and I dare not to show you guys my pic, it looks so unnatural and so not me, hahaha =D Now I realize it first hand that the supermodel life is not all sugar, spice and everything nice, it's kind of hard too~ x_x

Early this month, I was invited to a very special bloggers party organized by Lancome Institute, Bangsar Village 2 outlet from hostess of the day, the very sweet and sexy, Fatin =) And the timing couldn't be less than perfect, I almost finish my current foundation at that time and searching high and low for the best one that can suit my not so perfect skin =(

Foundation is actually one of my major weakness when it comes to makeup, I always experienced difficulties in choosing the right shades, texture, and also mixture that can compliment my skin, so yup, the invitation was kinda hard to resist and to make it even sweeter, we were provided with the golden opportunity to meet with the Lancome National Makeup Artist, Zamri Zainol =)

The Lancome Institute, Bangsar Village 2 is actually quite spacious, it have wide arrays of their products display at the front side and lots treatment rooms inside... I came a little early (which surprise me a lot btw, wink2) and we were ushered to a special area where the party will be conducted later on... The outlet have a very luxurious and warm aura spreading all over and with the yummy breakfast from the Marmalade Cafe served non stop, I felt very2 welcome, at home and can't hardly wait to get the party started, heehee x)

Back to the party, it is actually in conjunction with the Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle release, the latest addition to their fluid foundation range... I must admit, I'm quite skeptical at first, I did tried their Teint Miracle early this year and the outcome, really2 disappoint me, the shades was perfect but the foundation melted away in less than 4 hours... And I did a little research before coming to this party and realize one crucial thing that I overlooked before, the Teint Miracle was specially formulated to suit people with dry skin not oily like mine, no wonder it doesn't work on me, hihihi x)

step by step experiment on Lancome Maqui Miracle & Brand X

To kickstart the party, Zamri did a little demonstration using 2 different compact powder, Lancome Maqui Miracle and Brand X foundations... In the first picture above, you can see him scrapped out the foundations in 2 different petri dish, one for Lancome and the other for Brand X... He then dropped 3 drops of baby oil in each foundation... The baby oil actually represent the oiliness or sebum from our face...

Next, he let the oil set in the foundation for a minute and after that he stir the oil in the foundation using the stirring rod in rotating motions for a few minutes... At the last picture, we can see major differences between these 2 brands, the oil in the Lancome jar easily soaked into the foundation meanwhile the oil in the Brand X jar still have residue left behind and didn't completely absorbed the oil yet...

This experiment explained the long lasting effect and anti oiliness of Lancome Maqui Miracle compared to BRAND X, in another words, the foundation can stay put on our face longer minus the oil, yeay!!! @_@

Besides showcase the Maqui Miracle foundation for us, we were also introduced to the Lancome 29 St Honore's Fall 2011 collection, even before the press take a sneak peek, kinda cool isn't it? According to Zamri, it was inspired by the 29,St Honore's road at Paris, where all the socialites, rich and famous dress to impress at Paris, a place I can only dream to explore one day =( As we can see from the above pic, The Maison Lancome Blush, imprinted with the image of Eiffel Tower and brightly lit shop, function not only as blusher, it can also be both bronzer and eye shadows, will certainly making their way in my must have list @_@

The collection also came with red lipcticks, red & black nail varnish and not to forget the Les Oeillades Eyeshadow and Brow Compact Quad, a neutral matte eyeshadows which can also double up to define the brows, I can smell the trend that will hit the runaway soon... Fierce red lips with natural eye colors and mystery red/black nails, I wonder if I could bring myself to follow this trend, hahaha =D

The party will not be complete without a makeup demo by the connoisseur himself, using the 29 St Honore's Collection and Maqui Blanc Miracle to create a perfect day look to one of the blogger, Jean... He's very generous with makeup tips and tricks, showing the best way to achieve the desired effect and lots of humor in between =D

One of the lesson I learn that day is most eye products (such as eye cream) can also be applied to the lips and vice versa, first time I heard it actually, it's great to know insider tips like this sometimes =) And, concealer can also work as highlighter, why I never think of that, it's genius since concealer usually one shade lighter than our skin tone, rite? And he did showed a rather unique way to apply the liquid foundation, which is by massaging to our face using circular motions, it's not only spread the color more evenly and thoroughly, it can also exercise some of our face muscles along the way, super awesome!!! @_@

This is Jean before and after being touched up from Zamri, she look more alive, lively and gorgeous, ready for work and party from day to night, wink2 I asked Zamri whether this foundation can hide all my flaws excellently since its only have light to medium coverage... Zamri suggested me to use it with the compact form to set the foundation and to provide better coverage for all my skin imperfections... He also mention that the liquid form can last quite long, very2 worthy buy coz we only need half a pump to cover the whole face ^_^ It will look quite white after you applying it though, just wait for a while until the color set in and you will look radiant and glowing before you know it, ^_~

Before heading back home, we gossiped, debating, sharing opinions, camwhoring and feast our eyes and skin with all Lancome wonderful products... I always have a soft spot for Lancome Mascaras and Eye Palettes, so I basically tried everything to my heart content, hehehe =P We were not going home empty handed by the way, each and everyone of us were given a full size bottle of Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle (worth RM130) according to our own skin tone, weeeeeee~ @_@

I have nothing but compliments to the party organizer, Lancome for their generosity and also to Fatin for inviting me and for being such an informative and wonderful hostess to us all, wink2 I know for sure, everybody going back home happy that day and excited to try Maqui Miracle themselves... I did try it for couple of weeks now and what can I say; Lancome, you definitely won me over!!! ^_^

Back to the concert, me & my sis heading out to Bkt Jalil around 8pm with utmost hope that we won't be late for the show which start suppose to begin at 9pm... Since we both are hopeless when it comes to navigation and direction, we confidently used the most familiar route to get there, but along the way, my sis somehow able to distract me with all the weird K-pop song and suddenly we end up in the middle of nowhere, arghhh~ Thank god, her friend managed to guide us back to Bukit Jalil within time through phone and we reached there around 9pm... The journey that usually took only 30 minutes turned into 1 hour long just because of K-pop, huhu~

Maroon 5 fans (literally & figuratively) ^_~

To make it worst, the security people there sucks big time and caused long long lines just to enter the stadium... Even Adam Levine complained about them in his twitter account... The show delayed for almost half an hour due to their incompetence and while waiting, lots of the fans get restless since the band didn't have opening act like any other concerts... Most of us used the free time to camwhore and patiently wait for the band to make their grand entrance...

At 9.30pm sharp, Maroon 5 began to fired up the night with the first single from their latest album, Misery... Clad in only shirts and jeans; they definitely know how to grab all the crowd attention and made the girls (and boys =P) goes into frenzy mode, wink2 This is their first Malaysian show by the way so the crowd were more than eager to please, hehehe =P

I'm not a huge fans of Maroon 5 to be honest, so I'm quite surprised to see firsthand that Adam Levine musical prowess is something that you have to see it to believe... I must admit that his track record with all the beautiful ladies do come in handy... He sings not only with his heart but also with his body, very2 sexy, not to mention mesmerizing and his guitar skills especially when he jammed with the rest of the band on stage certainly had me at Hello, wink2 I can't seem to shake out my weakness for guitar players I guess, I fall for them like magnets, hahaha =D

He dance, he dance... oh baby2 he move, he move~ =P

They played a mixture of their hits from Song before Jane to Hands All Over with new arrangement for almost all their playlist that night, a good move on their part I must said coz they got all the crowd fall in love with the songs all over again =) They finally made their music feel more humanized when all the unnecessary effects were scrapped out from the songs... Their acoustic rendition of She'll Be Loved certainly a crowd pleaser that night and really2 a huge hit among the fans, coz it got us all singing along, enjoying the moment and kind of transported me back to all the memories it held @_@

Encore2, yeay!!! @_@

Despite a little drama at the front row, the show goes on without a hitch with tunes varied from ballads such as Secret to pop rock like Wake Up Call and This Love... It does astonished me that Maroon 5 apparently have a huge fan base among boys here in Malaysia!!! They even get crazier than us girl you know, screaming frantically everytime Adam sang their fav songs, hahaha =D Anyway, the band ended the almost 90 minutes show with upbeat songs like Hands All Over, Makes Me Wonder and not to forget the very soothing Sunday Morning...

Overall, I would say the show was quite interesting, I rank it somewhere in the middle, not that great but not that bad either... A great musical experience and I'm sure the rest of the fans can't wait to see them again in the future =) Although I'm having a hard time to keep track with what Adam were saying most of the time, (I blame it entirely on the group of boys around me =_=) me and my sis definitely had fun and enjoyed it very much =) As Adam mention before he leave the stage, they'll be back again in Malaysia and I had a feeling that it won't be soon before long, wink2

I ♥ Benefit

What are the odds for you to meet the creator or founder of your favorite brands? Almost none isn't it? You can practically ask anybody around you, did they ever crossed path with Steve Jobs or maybe Oprah Winfrey and I can bet my groom eyebrow on it that nobody ever did, right? hee~

So, when Benefit Cosmetics Malaysia open up the golden opportunity for all their Malaysian fans to join the Meet & Greet session with the very sensational Annie & Maggie Ford Danielson (the daughter and niece of Benefit Cosmetics founder twin, Jane and Jean Ford) at Benefit, Pavilion on 31st March 2011, I can't hardly contain my excitement and rsvp myself and my bff straight away, wink2

For those who unfamiliar with Annie and Maggie, they both actually had inherited their mum and aunt gift with beauty since a very tender age, exposing to such a great stuff all around you can definitely do wonders and now, both of them are the the faces and the makeup trend artists for Benefit Cosmetics which they officially joined since 2008.

They both currently on tour all over Asia to promote the new tint in the Benefit Cosmetics family, Cha Cha Tint and also the long waited skincare line, b.Right! Radiance Skincare... Unfortunately all of the new products are not available in Malaysia yet, =( However, their visit is not only about the launching of their new products, they also made it their mission to get in touch with local fans and demonstrated few looks using their Benefit favorite must-have!!!

Before the arrival of the girls, we were served with variety of dessert and cakes from Coffee Beans!!! They have cheese to chocolate, cupcakes to cream puffs, super delicious!!! =) I also spotted few familiar faces from the Benefit Malaysian team like Yee Hwa and my fave SA's @ Benefit KLCC - Michelle and also some of my blogger friends, Fatin and Janoah...

Not long after that, Maggie and Annie Ford Danielson arrived with their entourage and didn't waste any time and introduced themselves. My oh my, they both look very identical to each other and they even finished each other lines. If I don't know better, I would think they're twins too, hihihi x) And they're very tall and gorgeous, I certainly felt like a cute dwarf next to them, hahaha =D I felt quite intimidated at first but their friendly manner and quick wit definitely won me over, wink2

Maggie began the demonstration with a day inspired look using Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes palette, Some kind a Gorgeous (the foundation faker), Benetint and the BadGal mascara... She also shared few tips and tricks for us like mixing the That Gal and your favorite moisturizer to create a very luminous look and using The Porefessional as the concealer... The day look is very easy to pull and very subtle which suitable for any occasions and event, love it =)

Annie continued the show with the demonstration of the night inspired look. She used the Benefit Smokin' Eyes palette, Coralista, their industrial strength concealer, Boi-ng, High Beam and the BadGal eyeliner... She also emphasize on the brow, using Speed Brow and showed us the best technique to highlight the brow and make the eyes pop! I have most of the stuff she used here and so excited to tried it myself later ^_~

After that, they made time to answer our beauty dilemmas, mingling with the fans and even taken pics with some of us, they both are very down to earth, stylish and beautiful!!! I also shared with them my undying love for their Woman Seeking Toner which are discontinue right now and wish it will make a comeback soon, let's cross our fingers about that ya, @_@

In the Buble...

March had been very kind to me so far, I had won myself few contests in this month alone and the biggest highlight of course was winning the tickets to Michael Buble show last week @ Stadium Malawati!!! When I received the call from Warner Music, I'm beyond ecstatic and rendered speechless because I never really thought I'll win, I just entered the contest for fun without any expectation at all...

I felt extremely lucky because not only I won 2 tickets worth RM850 each, I also got Buble's latest CD, Crazy Love Hollywood Edition, ^_~ At first I thought I won the VIP seats (due to a little confusion on my part), but I'm more than happy with the seats I got which obviously I can't afford with my current paycheck, sob2 T-T

Anyway, that night I tried to come early to avoid bad traffic, the rainy day didn't help much either but we managed to arrive just in time before the show started and catch the opening act by local jazz singer, Najwa Mahiaddin (yes, she's the TPM daughter =P)

I never heard her sing before and that girl really blew my mind away!!! Her songs are quite catchy and cool, I can't help but loving her, you rock girl!!! =) She entertained the audience for almost 1 hour before Mr Buble took his turn and start the show at 8.35pm.

He begin the show with Cry Me A River, a very2 good choice on his part, it's also one of my favorite... And all the 9,000 crowd can't stop shrieking and screaming when the very talented Mr. Buble finally show up on stage!!!

He dazzle us with his amazing vocal. his aura and also the fireworks, we can't hardly take our eyes of him!!! When he sing, he really2 sing from his heart and with deep emotion, I got goosebump everywhere and I'm not even cold that night, that's how good he is!!! =)

We were seated at the right side of the stage so I'm having difficulties to capture great pics; thank god there is a giant monitor on the right side of the stage for our viewing pleasure, so I didn't felt that bad, hee~

Buble mainly sang songs from his latest album such as classic like Crazy Love, Georgia on My Mind, and Heartache Tonight (just to name a few) besides his other hits like Feeling Good, Haven't Met You Yet, Everything, and also Save the Last Dance. Unfortunately he doesn't sing his latest single, Hollywood and his previous hits, Sway which I really2 hope he will =(

Anyway, his charm and sense of humor really2 worth all the troubles going through the rain and bad traffic, wink2 I can't stop laughing at his jokes and yes, if he's not a singer he do have a very bright future ahead of him as a stand up comedian, hehehe x)

His love and admiration for his band can be clearly seen when he introduced them to the crowd complete with their family background and personalities, and he never forgot to thank them repeatedly which shows how very remarkable person he is, unlike lots of big star out there who barely care about anothers...

He also took a little time to sign autographs and shake hands with his lucky fans before heading to the center podium and mesmerized us with his acoustic version of Home... His adoring fans including yours truly can't keep ourselves from singing along to the beautiful melody and get lost in the moment... It's really2 was a breathtaking scenery, how I wish I could re-live the moment again and again!!!

The best part in the concert however was when Buble tried to impersonate Michale Jackson; it's really2 funny, he's pretty gifted dancer himself and constantly doing his sliding moves and even singing in higher pitch to fully imitated Michael Jackson's voice, it's definitely cracked up all the audience and leaving us wanting more!!! n_n

To my delight, he also sang the Glee theme song, Don't Stop Believing and Disney's classic, A Whole New World, it's super duper funny and hilarious, I do took a video of it but due to my non stop laughing, the video turn up shaky and I can only hear my voice on it, hahaha =D

The lights, effects and drama in this concert certainly deserved a standing ovation too, everything went smoothly without a hitch and in-sync with the performances ^_^

The existence of an Audi car on the stage however strange it is (Audi is one of the main sponsor of this concert btw) didn't steer out our attention from the man of the night, Mr Buble himself and the balls that had been thrown all over the stadium too, keep the audience in playful mood through out the night and let us all losing ourselves to the Buble spell, wink2

After more than 10 songs and almost 2 hours later, the show finally had came to the end... Buble end the night with Song For You, a song he sang without the aid of microphone and chilled us all to the bone!!! All 9,000 fans go all quiet and surrender ourselves to the Buble's haunting voice~ It's something you have to see it to believe it moment, and I can't believe the fabulous night is finally over...

KL actually is the last destination for his Crazy Love Tour - Asian Leg before he ties the knot this April... What can I say, his soon to be wife is definitely a very lucky woman, she get the complete package, a man who can serenade and fascinate her, not to mention good looking and amazing!!! @_@

Before heading back home, I didn't missed out the opportunity to took pics at the Audi's promo booth and bought some of Buble's merchandise for keepsake... =) It's a very fun and fantastic show which I never ever dream I can be a part of in million years!!! Thank you so much Warner Music for your generosity, I love love love the concert so very2 much!!! Muahssssssss ♥ ♥ ♥

Indonesian treat...

When it comes to food, I'm not as adventurous as I would like myself to be... I'm a very picky eater, and tend to choose only dishes that I'm feeling comfortable with... Indonesian food isn't really at the top of my favorite dishes list... I tried Ayam Penyet and Bakso before but it doesn't really suit my taste bud...

Bumbu Desa @ Level 4, KLCC ^_^

So, when my parents suggesting us to try out the new and improve Indonesian restaurant @ KLCC, Bumbu Desa, I'm not that thrilled... My parents actually want to re-live their dining experience when both of them went to Bandung last year... Since me & my siblings didn't join their vacation, my dad want us to share at least their love for Sundanese food with us...

Bumbu Desa serves variety of authentic Sundanese and Padang food for Indonesian food lovers with a very reasonable price. The restaurant usage of the word "bumbu" which means "spice" didn't really live up to my expectation since most of the dishes are not as spicy as I'm hoping for. But they deserved some credit for the very cozy ambiance and the unique decoration they have besides their fascinating 12 meters long table display with more than 30 dishes to feast our hunger and our eyes, wink2

Among the restaurant's signature dishes are the Sundanese specialities such as Sundanese Ayam Laos dish (which is similar to chicken curry), Ayam Cabai Ijo and Terong Bumbu Desa Pedas. Besides that, they also have Padang dishes such as Ayam Pop, Sambal Goreng Udang and Gulai Talapia. The dishes here are specially prepared by Indonesian chefs to ensure the customer will experience the authentic Indonesian taste and flavor at their restaurant.

We don't try out much of the dishes since we all were having big breakfast in the morning... They have a few special beverages but only one that really caught my attention, which is the Orange Coconut Juice (mixture of both juices which taste a little weird but not that bad actually =P)

We also tried the Ayam Bumbu Desa (it's pretty similar with Ayam Goreng Berempah, which didn't really impressed me much), Rendang Daging (my favorite dish so far, it's a little sweeter than Malaysian Rendang but I kinda like it), Sayur Daun Singkong (I don't like it), and also Udang Tusuk (it taste okay but lack of spices I think~)

Last but not least, my dessert of the day, Haagan Dazs Strawberry ice cream courtesy of my daddy, hehehe =P My overall verdict; I still didn't like Indonesian food but this place really worth a try for food hunters and lovers out there, it's not spicy enough for me but I'll probably come again for their Rendang Daging and the Orange Coconut Juice, heee~

Ever heard of Topshop? Of course you do right? But what about The Topshop Makeup??? I'm not sure all of you can say the same... Well, it's been around for quite sometime in UK but only available in Malaysia, end of last year... Over here you guys can check it out @ Topshop KLCC, the stock there is limited but still worth a look for all you makeup freak out there, wink2

My first purchase from Topshop Makeup range as you can view from the pics below is not that much but I'm so happy with everything I bought @_@!!! In case you have no idea what drawn me to their makeup line, the most obvious reason is definitely their price range; some of the stuff they have here even cheaper than drugstore makeup brands, cool isn't it??? and if you have fast forward membership, you even get additional 10% discount, definitely a bargain I can't refuse @_@

The cheap price tag however didn't compromise the quality of the products and it even come in a very cute packaging, yeay !!! What's not to like, right? So, I bought 2 kohl eyeliner in coal (black) and pewter (silver), a duo eyeshadow in smoulder (purple/black), a lip polish in rhubarb (red) and a blusher in pinch(red).

Not to mention the little detail they have that most cosmetic brands seems to overlook... They attached a little mirror to the blusher and lip gloss packaging, ngee~ =) I really2 love that!!! ^_^ Can you guys guess how much I spend for my first Topshop haul??? It's all cost less than RM150, average around RM30 for each item which I think quite a steal for all the stuff I got here, yippie~ \\^_^// Go grab them fast girls before it's too late, ^_~

I've been extremely occupied this month and neglected my blog for so so so long =( So, to make up for the loss time, I would love to share with you guys the prizes I won since early 2011, which is not that much actually but I'm very2 thankful indeed since the prizes were enough for me, my lovely sisters and my bff @_@
The first prize I won was from the Shape Magz Lucky Draw Workshop which consist of 2 boxes of Freshkon Mosaic Contact Lenses + 1 complimentary box (in the workshop goodie bag @_@) I choose 3 different colors; Velvet Blue, Urban Gray and Luscious Green after viewing their website ^_~

I'm not really a lens person, so I just pass mine to my sisters instead... They love the lenses so much because of the natural look the lenses gave unlike any other brands which make their eyes look fake and weird, hehehe x) You guys should get one too and tell me your verdict, ^_^

I've been eye-ing and almost buying this set during the Xmas promo last year and thank god I didn't, phew~ =)

Lavender had always been my fav scents coz it had a very soothing and calming effects on me beside reminds me of my childhood memories... I have no idea why but whenever I smell lavender, I'll feel instantly uplift and happy, hee~ Maybe my love for purple kinda cloud my judgment, hahaha =D

I love Shape magz so much and have been reading it religiously for years, it's not that I'm a health freak or anything (if you see how much I consumed dessert, you'll probably agree 100% with me =P) It's just that, I love having an active life!!! It's so much fun especially if you have partner in crime with you, wink2

Anyway, when I read about their latest workshop, I quickly send in my sis & my details and waiting patiently for them to reply... Finally, I got the email I've been anxiously waiting for & we were among the lucky 32 who got selected to attend their "Express Beauty and Fitness Workshop", yeahaaa \\^_^//

This workshop was organized by Shape Magazine with other participating brands like Fitness First, Bobbi Brown, Freshkon, Nestle and Ascience @ Fitness First, Avenue K on 15th January last week. The program started at 9.45 but we arrived a little late and almost missed the warm up session, so we were quickly ushered to the changing room to change into our workout outfit and join the enthusiastic crowd~ @_@

After the warming up, which inclusive of the best express workout demonstration for women to do in our free time, we were divided into 3 different groups by the trainers and taking turns to do a body fat check up and measured our body endurance in the Fitness First Explorer challenge... My group trainer, Leo is actually one of the Biggest Loser Asia 2 personal trainers, so in another word I can definitely brag about being a part of the The Biggest Loser show now, hahaha =D

In this challenge, we were asked to firstly do as many pumping as we can in 2 minutes (I'm not very proud of my achievement though, huhu~) and then we have to hold the plank position as long as we can (this is torturous, =_=) After that, we were tested on our stability with doing a star pose while closing our eyes (it's not as easy as it look okay, hee~) and last but not least we were asked to run on the treadmill as far as we can in 10 minutes time. Each activities carried it's own points and will be use as a benchmark to see our improvement from time to time...

Shortly after that, our body fat analysis were taken by the trainers using special machine and we were advised to the workout regimes that work best with our body shapes, metabolic rates, and body fat percentage... Besides the body fat analysis, it also determined our bone mass, muscle mass, BMI and also our metabolic age. I'm so happy to know that I'm still considered as 21 even though it's only from the machine perspective, hihihihi x)
I was suggested by Leo to focus more on toning up my body with exercises like Pilates or Yoga and also cardio to help burning the fat at my problematic areas... I also take this opportunity to grill Leo about my body concern and confusion, which he gladly clarify =)

After finished with the body fat analysis, we were taken for the light refreshment/breakfast from Nestle Fitness Cereal before heading for the next session with Bobbi Brown makeup artists, Sandra. This session focused on the fastest way to change your looks with minimal effort which is very helpful for working women who always on the go and barely have time for complicated makeup do...

Sandra in her talk demonstrated the easiest way to change and uplift our look with only few products such as Bobbi Brown's Tinted Eye Brightener that can instantly perk up our eyes to look more awake and Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge. which can double up as lip and cheek tint. She also show us the simple steps to achieve the smokey eyes look compared to the usual steps which is time consuming and hard to set. This is really helpful tips and now I can rock the look in less than 10 minutes, which is what this workshop is all about, express beauty and fitness for women like us.... I also get my touch up from Sandra herself, cool isn't it??? wink2

The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell~ ^_^

One of the reason why I start blogging is because I'm inspired by Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and The City... I watched the series faithfully, never missed any single episodes @ HBO... Most people think it's quite vulgar to comprehend, but I think this show is really about relationship and friendship (fashion of course, wink2) not so much emphasize about sex as many people always assumed it was... and Carrie do have lots of interesting theories about men, hihihi x)

My favorite character actually is not Carrie, I love Samantha the most, I think she's so free and comfortable in her own skin, never afraid to speak her mind and always support her friend no matter what... Carrie seems a little too nice to my liking and trying so very hard for everyone to love her, but I do heart her style and shoes, without Carrie, I probably have no idea who is Manolo Blahnik or Oscar de la Renta, hehehe =P

Anyway, for Carrie fans out there, this book is pre-SATC, so it's quite mild and very teenager-ish but I don't think her fans would mind, it's fun in it's own way and a little surprising if we compared to her glamorous life in New York... I don't wanna spoil all the storyline here, so you can look for this book if you curious, it's a good beach read and kind of reminds me of my high school days, hehehe =P

Everywhere I go, I can see lots of cosmetic brands seems so eager to compete with each other and producing their own BB Cream... The truth is, I'm not really convince it can really works its magic as what it claims... For skin that have minor problem probably, but for skin full of flaws like mine??? It's just too good to be true, huhu~ As most of beauty junkies out there already knew, BB Cream or Blemish Balm Cream is originally used as a healing ointment for patient that undergo laser skin surgery and later become phenomenon after lots of Korean celebrities swears by it, mmmmmm~

I'm curious and decide to give it a try, I did ask around and most of my friends suggest Skin79 BB Cream... Besided that, Sunplay and Maybelline also coming up with their version of BB Cream as well... Anyway, after I got Laniege Snow BB Cream sample last year, I felt drawn to give it another try... (the Soo Hye Gyo factor really2 work at persuading me apparently,hee~) I love the scent and the fact that it barely covered my skin imperfection doesn't really bother me at all, which really makes me wondering why sometimes, hahaha =D

I have a very short attention span, but there are few things that can keep me talking for hours, heehee =P Music, movies, books and definitely cosmetics!!! Just like every other girls, I can't live without makeup, even in my laziest day, I try to at least wear my eyeliner and compact powder, wink2 Among my favorite brands are of course Benefit, Stila and Bobbi Brown~ n_n

Anyway, for my everyday look, I try to keep it simple, natural and minimum... I rely on these stuff to make me look presentable and nice without going to all the trouble and wasting unnecessary time to get ready for work... Last Saturday, I was invited alongside hundreds of PlusizeKitten readers to be a part of Malaya Optical "Performance Enhancing Eye Wear" preview at their Damansara Uptown outlet. I've been wearing glasses almost half of my life so I'm really2 intrigued to find out more about my eyes condition. I picked up my sis first so we arrived quite late and it's quite chaotic down there... Thank god I had Miu2 to help guide me through the event, without her I probably at lost there... Thanks sweetie ^_^

I'm very frustrated when the owner asked me to come back another time to do the free extensive eye check, which is actually the main reason I came to the event... I don't hang out at Damansara much so I really2 felt disappointed when I can't get my eyes thoroughly examined that day... =(

The comprehensive eye examination actually covers the check-up for multiple eye concern such as visual acuity, binocular vision, color deficiency, corneal topography and pupillary reaction, slit lamp, glaucoma & diabetic examination, multifocal optimization and also peripheral vision field enhancement.

Somehow, one of the staff, Moon recognized my distress and help explaining lots of my confusion... You see, I've a very high degree of astigmatism, so I can only wear specially design lenses called Toric Lens... It doesn't come cheap of course, and only few brands like Acuvue and Bausch & Lomb selling it in Malaysia...

To make it worst, it doesn't come in colors like normal contact lenses, sob2 T_T Maybe I should opted for Laser Surgery instead, mmm~ (unfortunately I can't afford it Y_Y) Thanks a lot Moon for clearing it all up to me, I've been meaning to ask someone about it for quite sometime but never come around to do so, hee~

In this past few months, I'm getting a little bit obsessed with collecting Disney Cuties Stamps from Guardian much to my fellow peers chagrin, hehehe =P I actually have no idea why I'm so freaking determined to get all the 60 stamps, maybe the cute little Tigger shy look kinda struck to my heart, hahaha =D

Thankfully with my family and friends help and support, I managed to get all of them in less than 3 months~ n_n Love you guys, muahs3x God knows how many stuff I bought alone in these couple of months, I have enough toiletries stock that can last for 3 months for my whole family, heehee x)

killing the time with camwhoring @ the Hot Magazine's booth n_n

Last week, me and almost hundred other lucky winners from Hot Magazine's Facebook page got the honor to attend their special screening of one of the most anticipated movie this year, The Social Network @ TGV KLCC...

I won 2 tickets for the screening plus complimentary drink and popcorn (kinda cool isn't it??? I lurrrve popcorn, wink2) Thank you so much Hot Magazine + TGV for the treat, love ya~ =)

So, I ask my gossip girl, Anie to join me since she's really curious about the movie, and so do yours truly, ngee~ This is my second movie @ TGV KLCC for the week after Rapunzel 3D so I'm quite excited to watch the movie everyone raving about ^_^

This movie as most of you guys probably know is about the story behind the conception of one of the largest social network, the "Facebook"... Being an avid user of Facebook myself, I have nothing but respect to the brain behind the world phenomenon =)

The movie is quite hilarious and genius I must said, I do get lost in translation here and there (when they talk about all the hacker stuff) but the razor sharp wit and humor is definitely entertaining and worth watching, wink2

The college life there is nothing like what we had in M'sia... It's quite hard to blend in, to be noticed and to have fun without all the right connection from fraternity or any other social hieraki, this is mainly the inspiration behind the creation of Facebook, believe it or not...

I absolutely have no idea of the journey, effort and hard work the founder, Mark Zuckerberg and his team going through to make their dream a reality... I definitely blown away by all the things that we seem to take for granted and how it affecting our life nowadays...

For example, without Facebook, I don't think we can even communicating frequently with someone that we haven't met for almost 10 years, don't you think??? Or maybe sharing your feelings and opinion with someone you barely know... I believe lots of us have one way or another rely on Facebook to keep tabs on our friends and family rather than meeting them on daily basis, don't we???

Anyway, me and Anie certainly have a blast laughing, admiring, hating and loving all the characters... Mark Zuckerberg maybe the youngest billionaire in the world but he lead a very lonely life, with no real friends and without the love of his life... (according to the movie la, not solely based on my perception, okey~) all the money really comes with a huge price tag (law suits and friend-less life) it's quite depressing and sad life to live, I felt sorry for him actually T_T

But I'm very2 fascinated by his drive, passion and determination to achieve his goal and mission, he shared the same birth date as me so I can identify some of the Taurus's mule headed personality in him~ @_@ My verdict??? Go watch the movie if you're looking for a smart/serious comedy and if you don't, watch Rapunzel instead, it's action flick + Disney, you can't get any better than that, hehehhe =P

I'm so gonna watch "The Tourist", can't resist the urge to plastered myself next to Johnny Depp though, ^_~ move away Angelina, let Ayna take your place, hihihi =P

Anyway, I received my first ever Chanel lip gloss from Miu2 chan, thank you so much girl, I love it very2 much, heehee =P From Cuna and her husband Meor, I got my first Lancome ombres palette in a are very2 lovely shades of green, it even matched my "baju raya", thank you Cuna & Meor, I'm lovin' it!!! n_n

From Harim, I got the last piece of my limited edition Melinda Looi's Shu Uemura lashes!!! She even go all the way to persuade Miu2 plotting and planning to surprise me, I've been punk'd by both of them but it's very2 cute indeed, thank you Harim, I heart the lashes so freakin' much, @_@ Lastly from Hanna, I got a cute makeup compartment filled with Bonnabell's black eyeliner + Sephora's mini lip glosses + NYX blusher and Victoria Secret's lip gloss... Practically my first taste of everything, thank you honey, it's very2 thoughtful of you, I'm so excited to tried something that isn't available in Msia yet, hihihi x)

Last but not least I got a very2 unusual gift from my bf, he knew I've a weakness for guitar players, so he definitely know how to impress yours truly, hehehe =P He made a special video of himself playing and singing my favorite song from Switchfoot exclusively for me, ngee~ I can't hardly keep my eyes of him, he's quite good, wink2 I'm so tempted to post the video here but since it's for my private view only, I rather keep it that way, wink2 Thank you sweetheart n_n

my book haul - I'm lovin' it, ^_~

I only planned to grab couple of books @ BookXcess, Amcorp Mall today but the stock just arrived and lots of books definitely caught my attention... Anyway, this is my second visit to BookXcess, what I can say is, they really know how to impress bookaholic like yours truly, wink2... I love the extra touch like the free bookmark with every purchases and the 10% discount for card members... God know how stingy MPH and Kinokuniya can be, huh~

This time around, I bought a Sephora makeup guide book (for my friend upcoming bday) + 2 Madeleine Wickham books (also known as Sophie Kinsella) + Cupcakes recipe books (for a friend) + Creative Card Design book (for my little sis) + 2 Dorothy Koomson books (I've read her books review and curious to know whether her work could live up to my expectation,wink2) + Greg Iles - The Devil's Punchrowl (he's genius, one of the best in fact ^_^) + Jimi Hendrix biography (his more than a musician to me, he's legendary n_n) + Tess Gerritsen's thriller (for my sis) and last but not least, Marley & Me movie tie-in (it's a bargain I can't refuse, hee~)

After having my free facial @ 128 Faubourg Salon by Sothy's as mention in my previous post here, I still got lots of time to kill before meeting my friends... So, I'm thinking of treating myself with manicure & pedicure session but unfortunately every nail parlour at Bangsar Village 2 were fully booked at that time...

I'm bored and there's no bookshop nearby so I'm just wasting my time checking out all the stores in the shopping mall... And then I came across a very unique entrance to a spa name "Hammam" and follow my curiosity to enter this place... It have a very intimate and sort of mysterious feels, I'm instantly fascinated and captivated...

Suddenly, I remembered I read about it here back in August in Miu2's blog... The spa name "Hammam" actually referred to Arabic word which means spreader of warmth... This spa were inspired by famous Turkish Bath with a Moroccon twist... They used lots of unique ingredients from all over the world for the treatment worthy of Arabian's princess such as henna, huile sacre, seaweed citron, alum crystal, rose argile, and so much more...

I'm having a hard time to pick which treatment I would love to try the most and thank god they were having special Ramadhan promotion at that time and I made my mind immediately... It's a very2 good deal which not only includes their popular treatments but also additional stuff too for only RM250 :-

- Purifying foot scrub with ginger & tea tree dead sea salt (with 26 healing mineral)
- Hammam (bath) & Gommage (scrub) with tea tree black soap
- 1 hour massage with Orange & Geranium oil - Bois de Rose face and foot massage
- Hibiscus & Lemon Tea (for those who were not fasting)

I'm a little nervous at first because I knew this is not like the typical spa I've been before... You'll be treated like a queen (like in medieval era) when everything from getting a shower, get dress and even combing your hair will be done by hired help for you... But it's soon forgotten when I stepped into their changing room...

They giving out a set of fancy robe, paper bra and panty for me to change... Despite the traditional interior, the lockers are quite hi-tech with cool magnetic opening which can be open with a special water resistant bracelet given earlier upon my sign in... I started to feel very very excited and adventurous, hehehe =P

When I told you guys this spa is not like the typical spa, I really meant that in this spa, there is one lady assign to do your bidding, she will shower you, soaping you body, shampoo-ing your hair, scrubbing your whole body and massage you too... So, you'll be practically naked in front of the lady most of the time... I never feel more exposed but strangely, this experience makes me felt quite confident with my body like never before, hahaha =D

The Hammam & Gommage session are very interesting since the last time I checked it, only my parents have showered me before, it felt a little weird and funny but I like the fact that someone will attend to my every wish and need, wink2 @_@ The special black soap they used make it more easier to remove all the body dead cells when the scrubbing session took place... Its not for the sensitive skin however because its quite painful but you can always ask the lady to be more gentle...

After Hammam & Gommage, I was taken to the hall for the Purifying Foot Scrub treatment... It's taken all the edges from wearing 3 inches all day from me while waiting for available room for my massage session... The hall as you can see from this picture below is decorated beautifully with a blend of traditional and modern interior... I love the cozy chairs and the warm mode they have here, its felt so homey and relaxing n_n

And soon after my foot scrub, I was escorted to the massage room... They also offered special packages for couple with more luxurious and fabulous room, this info will definitely become handy when I get married later, heehee =P

In this package, they have chosen mixture of orange and geranium oil for me, so the masseuse lathered a generous amount of the oil to my body... The oil smell is very2 soothing and refreshing, I kind of like it =) I choose the Swiss massage technique because I can't handle the painful traditional massage very well and I'm glad I did, it's one of the best body massage I ever had, wink2 ^_^

After finished with the massage, I was escorted again to the hall for the Bois de Rose Face and Foot Massage, the treatment concentrated on crucial points in face and foot to help relax the muscles and make you more energized and radiant... This is a great finishing end for the whole spa experience before I'm heading for another agenda...

I'm giving this spa 5 out of 5 stars for the royal treatment and great services, I'm eager to come back again and suggesting this spa for those feeling like pampering yourself silly or maybe if you want to feel like a queen =) This spa also provided special package for bride to be, mother and daughter, couple and even open for a party, cool isn't it??? ^_^

So check out this spa if you're in the close proximity of Bangsar and you can always ask for the current promotion since the Ramadhan's package is no longer available or you guys can opted for another similar package, My Favorite Concubine (hammam & gommage + massage + body polish) ... I'm not usually this lucky, but maybe it's about time I experienced this winning streak, hehehe =P If you still wondering what the hell I'm talking about, well most my dear friends already knew, If they didn't, I definitely made it my mission to let they knew, wink2 Anyway, the not so fresh news is, I won SHAPE's magazine contest for 2 consecutive months, heee~

The 128 Faubourg's treatment is definitely something to die for, minus the rude beautician, everything else were totally live up to it's name (they won several awards internationally ^_~) I feel thoroughly cleansed, pampered and relax =) It's a little expensive than the normal facial rate but it's really2 worth it!!! @_@

They offered lots of different packages which tailored to suit your skin problems and concern... As I have oily, acne prone skin, it's a good thing I won the Deep Cleansing Facial Treatment, yeay!!! =) The beautician suggested me to do the treatment every 3 weeks and introduced several Sothys products for me to try at home...

They didn't allowed their customer to take pictures in their premises so I only managed to snap few pictures when the beautician leave me alone to change, huhu~ I'll let the pictures do all the talking ya, wink2

The treatment took about 2 hours which I'm having a hard time to remember all the details since I'm dozing off most of the time, heehee =P

I'm giving their salon 3 out of 5 stars not because I dislike it, but it's because of the rude beautician which I think act that way due to my free of charge treatment, huhu~ it's fine by me because now I won't ever feel tempted to come again and I can save money to buy other stuff instead, hahaha =D

Anyway, thanks SHAPE magazine for both prizes, it's definitely made me very happy for a long long time, luv ya, muahsssssss =)

I know I should have study for my midterm exam instead of hanging out at bookstore and spending money again but shopping for books also considered as study in my dictionary, hehehe =P Anyway, I was introduced to BookXcess by a blogger friend, Kitty, thank q so much girl for the info and I've been stalking their facebook page eversince, hehehe =P

In case you guys didn't know or never heard of BookXcess before, they are selling overprinted books with lots of discount around 50%-70% from the retail price!!! ^_^ But the stock is quite limited, it's on first come first serve basis, so you must be extremely alert and fast, wink2

Anyway, I went for my first BookXcess @ Amcorp Mall visit last Saturday, and OMG, I almost going crazy looking at all the books and the price tag!!! For the first time ever, I just took every books I want without even thinking, hehehe =P Thank god, everything is within my budget and I got more than I'm expecting, yeay!!! @_@

As you can see from the above pic, I managed to grabbed 3 Bobbi Brown's books (for my friend bday & for myself n_n) + DSLR guide book (for another of my friend bday ^_^) + American Classic Car - Ford Mustang history (for my bf - he's a big Mustang fan ^_~) + Natsuo Kirino's & Alice Sebold latest book + few chic lit + The Duchess movie tie-in =)

I absolutely love everything I bought & excited to stocking up again after my midterm, hehehe =P There are so much more books out there still waiting for me, wink2

Estee Lauder Parkson KLCC SA's is quite generous as usual, and gave me quite a lot of samples to try on, thanks sweetie =) I also redeem a facial & samples from Isetan KLCC Origin's counter, thanks Hanna dear for the voucher, wink2 Also not to forget, the magic cream from Lancome, Genifique tube sample, I'm lovin' it very2 much =P

Every year during durian season, my dad will invite our close relatives & family friends for a little gathering @ our kebun located at Hulu Langat, Selangor... It has been our family tradition since I'm 10 years old to spend our weekend here to relax and get away from the busy city... Little by little the 10 acres jungle is now turning into a beautiful garden and soon it will be open for public...

Of course besides durian, we have other fruits like rambutan, dukung, ciku & langsat too... So we cherish people close to us every year with private tour to our secret sanctuary to enjoy the experience that they won't get anywhere else in KL... I'm not a fan of durian myself but I have fun watching others enjoying it =) Being with all these people is something I don't wanna miss, and I have a blast despite the rainy and muddy day @_@

Just a few pics to make all the durian fanatic mouth out there watered, hehehe =P To add the salt to your injury, our durian is one of the most sought after breed in Hulu Langat and people are willing to pay good money just for the seeds alone!!! I'm not exaggerating you know, Chinese men especially love our durian, they ask for the seeds all the time... Anyway guys, enjoy the pics, wink2

It's definitely a sin to me not shop and stocking up when it's sales, don't you girls feel the same way too??? hehehe =P I'm curious actually with Stage, a cosmetic line that I never attempt to try before... Anyway, after reading Harim's blogging about their crazy sales here, I persuaded my sis to tag along with me and get something for her early birthday present and for myself too, of course =) Thank you so much dear for the info, wink2

We only want to buy eyeliners and lipsticks at first, but after that we get sucked in by the very charming SA, Chloe and bought a lot more than we planning too... It's quite cheap than the normal price and I obviously can't say no... They also giving out free membership for more than RM200 purchase... You'll get free makeover + points (which can later used to buy their makeup) + workshop + sales invitation and so much more...

We bought eyeliner, lipstick, lipgloss, primer, foundation, compact powder, brush cleanser, and concealers... It's really2 worth it, even drugstore brand can't get this cheap!!! We were very2 pleased with our haul and smile all the way home, heehee x) Due to sooo many sales that happen at the same time, I decided to get my hands on more inexpensive makeup this time around and Loreal's new quad collection really looks like a good deal to me =) There are 4 palettes to choose from and I instantly fall for the Pink Mania and Aquadisiac...

Despite the cheap price, the quality of the colors wasn't compromise and I can even said better than some high end brands!!! With the current discount at Guardian, you can bought 4 palettes at the same price of one Bobbi Brown palette, impressing isn't it??? Go try and swatch the colors to decide for yourselves and don't simply take my words on it, you'll love it, n_n

Last but not least is Baviphat Apple Jelly Lip Scrub which I discovered after reading Fatin's post here... Thanks to her, I now find something that's working and cheaper than Bodyshop's Lip Scuff or Benefit's Dr Feelgood Lipscription... I love it very2 much and wishing they come up with a lot more flavor... I highly recommended this one to all of you who seek for lip treatment for your dry and chapped lips, I believe your man will definitely notice the differences, wink2

I heart the book covers, it's love at first sight @_@

I've been super duper busy this couple of months and will getting busier and busier possibly till Raya, so I hardly have time to blog in peace anymore... but I'll try to make an effort to entertain you guys, or at least to entertain myself with writing more post soon, hehe =P One of the things that keep me busy are The Stieg Larsson Millennium Trilogy Books...

These books are probably the best action series that I've came across since Robert Ludlum's Bourne and Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar!!! I heard rumours that Hollywood will adapt the books into movie franchise soon!!! Cool isn't it??? =) It's actually written in Swedish by Stieg Larsson as his part time hobby but his books only published and became phenomenon all over the world after he was dead, poor guy =(

The story revolves around the heroin character , Lisbeth Salender who is a genius hacker that had a very dark and complicated past... She's a tough woman who trying very hard to find her own peace but unfortunately her demons still can't leave her alone after all these years... She's holding the secret to Swedish government conspiracy and suddenly everyone is against her except a fearless journalist, Mikael Bloomvist...

The only actress who I can imagine playing her character is definitely Angelina Jolie (part of it because of her Lara Croft alter ego and the other half because it's remind me of her earlier movie Hacker back in 1995, hehehe =P)It'll be anti-climax if I reveal all the storyline here so I'll keep my mouth and finger shut and let you guys figure it out yourself, wink2...

One thing I can say, if you are a fan of conspiracy theory/ thriller/ mystery, you gonna love this series... It keep me up all night for days but it's really2 worth it!!! I personally love the second book, I think it's full of action and drama unlike most of thriller/mystery books today that lacked all the element of surprise and twist...

What is the best way to go green without missing all the glam??? My answer is definitely shopping at Kiehl's, heehee =P Just kiddin, I'm trying to justify my reasons for visiting the latest Kiehl's store @ KLCC to myself actually, ^_~ And of course I can't just ignore the current promotion they are having right now at all Kiehl's outlet, RM10 rebate for every Rm100 purchase, yeay!!! \\^_^//

What's more, they are giving out free cute re-usable bag where you can choose from 4 gorgeous design which represent 4 different magazines that collaborate with Kiehl's for the Earth Day Programme - Eh, Glam, Female and Nuyou... I pick Glam Bag because I heart the design, and I got Glam magazine for free too!!! In real life, you won't see me buying or reading this coz I always considered it "mak datin" kind of magazine, hahaha =D
Anyway, I bought myself Kiehl's Blue Herbal Set to replace my Clinique 3 Steps Type 3 that I've been using since forever and hardly see any improvement at all =( I've done my research for quite some time and tried the Kiehl's samples before and instantly felt in love with the fresh and clean feeling it gave me... It smells a little like toothpaste but I still like it nevertheless ^_^ I got couple of other samples too that I can't hardly wait to try... I wish it can work it's magic on my full of flaw skin, heehee =P

the new addition to my Benefit collection, n_n

I missed the Benefit Warehouse sales last year and I had vowed ever since that I won't make the same mistake again, heehee =P Unfortunately, I'm only human, I can't make it to both Benefit sales this year T-T But, thank god, I had successfully persuading 3 different person to do some shopping for me, ngee~ ^_^ Thanks Cuna, Miu and Doroshi for your help, you guys really2 make my day, wink2

I bought creaseless cream shadow/liner in 5 different shades- Hunny Bunny, Samba-dy Loves Me, Gossip, Stiletto and Flying Down To (I'm greedy, I know~ =P) and a brush set which consist of concealer brush, eye shadow brush, kabuki brush and a sharpener (I don't get why they include this in the set, hahaha =D) The brushes wasn't really in my list actually but it's too hard to resist @_@

The great thing about these eye shadows is, it can be used as an eyeliner too and it doesn't crease like most eye shadows at the end of the day, quite cool rite??? I bought 2 previously in Busy Signal & Recess, which I already swapped with other bloggers due to the similarity of the shades with my other Stila pallete..

Yet, I can't help buying more and more eye shadows, huhu~ my mum even ask me to eat it all if I like buying it so much, hahaha =D Well, I can't really blame her, I don't even used some of them anyway, heehee =P Do I want more??? You know I do, wink2

I'm officially 26 years old today, tsk2 T_T As much as I hate getting older, I think it's quite cool anyway coz right now, younger men were chasing after me instead of married men, hahaha =D So, the best way to celebrate my birthday this year is with a new haircut, bolder and shorter of course, wink2

I always love my long wavy hair, it can look quite nice when I'm bothered to do so, but most of the time, it's hard to maintain and taking care of since im wearing scarf...Anyway, I'm very2 excited about my new haircut, it's sexier, cooler also with a touch of attitude and personality in it, ^_^ I'm not gonna reveal my new hairdo here obviously, but it looks a little like Charlize Theron's haircut in this picture (minus the blond and styling, hehehe =P) I'm lovin' it, n_n

As mentioned earlier in my previous post, this post is about my KLCC Fashionista Acca Kappa & Benefit workshop... Me & my bff for almost 12 years, Deya had a very fabulous Girls Day Out at both events and had fun trading tons of gossip in between, heehee =P (we haven't seen each other for more than 1 month mind you, wink2)

Back to the workshop, I'm not really interested with Acca Kappa stuff, I only sign us in due to my curiosity... And I'm happy to see other familiar faces joined the workshop as well n_n Acca Kappa actually is an Italian brand famous for their hair brushes range which surprisingly have couple of star products that I'm completely unaware of its existence before =)

For example they have hair brushes that can massage your scalp & help your blood circulation and also hair brushes purposely for shower usage... One more thing, you can also carved your name at the brushes for additional fee, quite cool isn't it??? ^_~

Besides hair brushes, they also have skincare, bodycare, makeup brushes, fragrance and men products... Their skincare ranges are based on natural ingredients such as grapes, hibiscus, blueberry, just to name a few...

Besides products introduction and demonstration, Acca Kappa had invited stylist from A Cut Above to give hair makeover for anyone interested... I would love to get their hair brush/ scalp massager one day, it would be nice to pamper your scalp once in a while right??? @_@

To occupy the 4 hours gap before the next Benefit workshop, we hang out @ Bisou, the new cupcakes stall at KLCC which I think served quite average cuppies (I still think Cupcake Chic is the best!!! ^_^) and very2 bad beverages... (for RM7 I do think I have the right to expecting more than instant drink, rite??? huh~ =_=)

After that, we shopped for Deya nieces and nephews @ Toys R Us and lucky us, they were having free membership promotion that day, weeee \\^_^// This can be handy when my little sisters bday coming up later, hehehe =P While browsing for Mother's Day Card @ Memory Lane, we both received RM5 gift voucher from the store which I later used to get discount for my Mother's Day card purchase @_@

We are not happy after had the cuppies & bad coffee =_=

I can't believe I actually thrilled getting this, hahhaha =D

Since we both love creative art very much, we used the remaining time to visit the current Art Exhibition @ Galeri Petronas... It's a very2 interesting way to spend your day, just walk in this gallery reminds me of the memories of us busting our ass to get our graphic assignment done which I didn't missed much actually, hehehe =P I wish we were allowed to take pics here because all the artwork are very2 gorgeous and unique in it's own way @_@

I didn't take any pics @ the Benefit's Workshop due to my digicam low battery, and it's quite similar with the previous Benefit party I had @ Pavillion anyway, with Matt demonstrating their latest product, Stay Don't Stray... This time around, I'm trying different products like the Bad Gal Plum Mascara + Sugarbomb and Velvet Eye Shadow which I'm starting to fall for, wink2

We bring back quite a lot of free stuff that day so I'm not really tempted to buy anything much~ (I'm very2 proud of myself!!! ^_^) Thank god for freebies and KLCC of course, heehee =P

I'm a makeup freak, and it's my calling to spread the virus to the people around me, heehee =P I had converted my colleague, my friends, my sisters and even my mom, wink2 So, the pressie it's not really a surprise actually, I'm giving her makeup all the time, since I love colors, it always lippies or eye shadows but never compact powder or foundation...

For this year Mother's Day, I'm giving her Shiseido's Pressed Powder instead since she's not into foundation... And I found quite a cute Mother's Day card @ Memory Lane in a handbag shape which I can't hardly resist, wink2 The best thing is it can fit my gift perfectly!!! What's not to like, right??? n_n

This April and May, KLCC had collaborated with various fashion labels and cosmetic brands for their Fashionista Workshops which quite rare I think for a big shopping mall to organize lots of free workshops for so many brands, wink2... This is something that I really2 welcome since KLCC have become like my second home lately, hahahha =D

Anyway, I signed myself and my bff for 3 different workshops; MAC, Acca Kappa and BeneFit but I'll focus on MAC for this post ya, hehehe =P I supposed to go to this workshop with my bff but due to some unavoidable circumstances, I asked one of my classmate/blogger Asna to join me instead... You guys can check her blog post here for blow by blow detail coz I don't take lots of pics that day and too lazy to do so, wink2

waiting anxiously for other people to show up, we are the first one there, huhu~

I'm surprise this workshop actually highlighting MAC 2010 Spring Collection which have been in the market for quite sometime... I sincerely thought they will promoting their latest collection, MAC Give Me Liberty of London but it's fine with me since I'm not really a big fan of MAC... The MAC KLCC makeup artist, Apple and Syahidah are the person in charge of the session I'm in... I love the way they doing the demonstration together, very informative and easy to follow with lots of humor in between, hehehe =P I highly recommend you guys looking for either of them to assist you if you're happen to visit MAC KLCC...

As much as I love colors, I'm not really fond of their Spring Collection... My interest is definitely glued to their MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick which I knew undoubtly will look ridiculous on me but I still like nevertheless, hehehhe =P So, I get one myself just to admire the beautiful color (it's quite sheer than I have expected) and help the needy by buying it (part of the profit will be distribute to charity organizations) I also get myself their waterproof eyeliner coz I almost finish mine, sob2 T-T (I still think BadGal is the best eyeliner ever,wink2)
